Day 20:

Relationships are always worth restoring

If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Romans 12:18 (KJV)

Do everything possible on your part to live in peace with everybody. Romans 12:18 (TEV)

Question to Consider:

Who do I need to restore a broken relationship with today?

Fellowships aren’t always broken because someone has wronged someone.  Sometimes it’s absence that does it. Sometimes relationships don’t need to be reconciled, but instead simply reconnected.  Sometimes reconnecting is just as hard.  I’ve got a long list of people that I just need to call and let them know that I care about them.

Just a few months ago, I had an opportunity to apologize to an old friend for something that happened over 13 years ago.  I can’t say that she was overly enthused to accept my apology, but I did it and there’s nothing I can do about it after that point.  Sometimes we expect people to be excited and to energetically accept our “sorrys”, but that shouldn’t alter the sincerity of our efforts.

Is there someone in your life that you need to reconnect or reconcile with?  What can you do today to fix that?
