Day 16:

Life is all about love

For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Galatians 5:14 (KJV)

The entire law is summed up in a single command: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” Galatians 5:14 (NIV)

Question to Consider:
Honestly, are relationships my first priority? How can I ensure that they are?

It’s a bit disappointing that I still haven’t gotten this one right.  I reviewed last year’s response to this question – at the time I was just finishing up with school, things were looking as if I’d have more time to spend with my family, but only weeks later I started a new job, one with long hours.  So a year later, and I still have not been able to increase the time I spend with my family.

In fact, it’s probably worse, because I’ve been even more exhausted than ever before.  My relationships are definitely lacking.

Recently, I’ve been making a conscious effort to spend more time with my immediate family and this chapter was a much needed reinforcement.

“The best expression of love is time: The importance of things can be measured by how much time we are willing to invest in them…If you want to know a person’s priorities, just look at how they use their time…the best way to spell love is T-I-M-E.” p. 127
