My family members consider me to be a very busy person. They say things like, “you should be tired, cause you’re always doing something” or “you never just sit still, do you?” I’ll be honest, I probably do keep too many things brewing at once. I feel as if there is just so much that needs to be done in the little time that I have on this earth. Sometimes, all I can do is take small seed-sized steps towards my goal, but progress is still progress even if it’s the slow kind.
At one point in my life I actually had several jobs and was also attending college. I could spout off a list of titles… mother, wife, student, secretary, nail tech, Avon lady, aspiring writer… each of those titles represent a seed planted for my future – some of those seeds have sprouted and bloomed while others are still sprouting, and yet others have done nothing. But if I had planted nothing – it would have been a certainty that nothing would grow.
I know a lot of people, however, who don’t see the value in taking small steps; in planting seeds – those are the same people who complain about being bored because they don’t have anything to do. They complain about not having what they want. In my opinion, boredom is a sign that a person is not doing everything he or she should be doing. It’s a sign that they have chosen not to plant any seeds – yet for some reason, they still expect their goals to spontaneously bloom. Do you know people like this?
It’s important to use the time you have wisely to plant as many seeds as you can. You never know which one will grow into that money tree the world has been waiting for. Sometimes it just doesn’t seem worth the trouble, but it is. Whatever dreams and desires God has planted in your heart are there for a reason, they are meant to motivate you to take the actions necessary to bring them to fruition. I know it’s not spring time yet, but it’s never too early to start gathering your seeds and planning which ones you will plant and where.
One day, I planted a seed called Highly Favored, this blog. I didn’t know what would become of it, or if anyone was listening, but when I receive your encouraging comments and responses, I realize my seed is sprouting. I don’t know what it will grow into, but I will continue to water it with posts that are straight from my heart. Maybe something I’ve written will plant a seed in you, or maybe something I’ve written will water a seed someone else has planted, or maybe another post will bring the sunshine that is needed to nurture a new sprout. I don’t know maybe I’m just deliriously tired of winter – no matter though, my hope endures.
If you’ve found anything at all on this blog to be uplifting or encouraging, be sure to leave a comment. If you have any suggestions for improvement, or anything you’d like to see me add to this site, please let me know.

Well after reading your “Plucking eye” post I decided to take action and get out and start dating more, so I could find my special guy in this world. I joined, dare I say a singles site; but hadn’t paid yet, but I think I will sew that seed and see what sprouts.
