Heavenly Father, as we enter another season set aside for Joy, Peace, Love and Hope, help us to appreciate loved ones, family and friends – all that is most precious to us. Help us to accept and receive love without reservation or hesitation. Remind us to openly share kindness with others – to make this a daily effort.
Help us to recognize the importance of gift-giving that cannot be wrapped, but also those that are free to be opened everyday. Remind us again and again that this season is not about the hustle and hustle of shopping and out of town guests, but about the birth of your only son, Jesus Christ.
Keep it fresh in our minds that this is a time to pray for our world, for those less fortunate and that when praying is done, that the time also comes to lend a helping hand. Amen.
