I really hate watching the news because it seems like they only talk about the terrible things that happen in the world, but today, I awakened to the most inspiring news I’ve ever seen.
Last Saturday Sade Davis, a 23-year old woman from Maryland, was discovered underwater after her automobile crashed. Only one other driver witnessed her car go off the road and was able to flag down a firetruck that just so happened to be passing by.
When they reached her, she was lifeless – no pulse; no respiration and even more saddening: she was 8 months pregnant. Things looked grim, but the paramedics began CPR in hopes of saving at least the baby. They really had no hope for her – they’d seen many wrecks before and the odds of reviving someone who was already dead were extremely slim. Yet, while en route to the hospital as CPR continued for the baby’s sake, Sade miraculously coughed! She was alive and although she began going into premature labor, doctors were able to reverse the process so that she could carry the baby full-term. The baby is healthy and things are expected to progress normally at this point.
It most definitely is a double miracle, and I’m so happy for Sade and her family. It touched my heart and I’m so glad to have had the opportunity to see God work. This story just shows that it’s not over until God says it’s over. I pray this story encourages some unbeliever and let’s them see that God is real and is still working miracles – even today. I hope you will join me in praying for her continued strength and health – that God will continue blessing Sade and her family. I pray she will use her life story for ministry because I believe God has a huge purpose for her and her child.

That is indeed a miracle. God does have a plan for her life and the life of the baby.
