It’s always a wonderful privilege to be able to share good news with others. We often have to contain ourselves to make sure we announce it at just the right time and in the right place. Good news is often so powerful that we often choose to share it after we’ve announced some bad news to reshift the focus from the negative to the positive.

This good news that I have for you is no different. In fact, it could follow any bad news and it would never lose its luster. Actually, the worse the news, the better this good news becomes.

I’ve got 5 pieces of the best news to share with you. The first is that Heaven is a free gift that can’t be earned or deserved. It is God’s grace that fills in the cracks for us; that re-enforces the weak beams for us and allows us to be saved despite our imperfections. The truth is every man/woman has sinned and come short of the the glory of God, therefore, we can’t save ourselves, so we have to rely on this wonderful grace that God imparts to us daily.

Everyday God is so merciful to us, He loves us to no end – unconditionally. God is just, and although that sometimes means He must punish our sins, (because there are consequences for our actions), He is the best judge there is to have in a courtroom. Evidence of his love was expressed in the greatest gift He ever gave us, which was His only Son, Jesus Christ, who died for our sins so that we could be saved.

As both man and God, Jesus is the only one who can attone everything everyone ever has or will do. All we need to be able to enter into that free gift is to have faith, to have trust in Jesus. It means we must humble ourselves and allow Him to lead our lives and strive to be like Him everyday.

Faith is not simply believing that He died on the cross to save us – He certainly did, but it goes beyond that. Faith means, you can spend your last dollars to feed a starving person and yet believe that even though it was your last, God will provide and all your needs will be met.

If you are not a Christian yet, or you’re uncertain of your eligibility for receiving your free gift of Heaven, the Good News is that you can accept Jesus Christ right now and make the best decision you’ve ever made. The next step is to turn away from sin and accept Christ. This means you will turn your life over to Christ – you will allow Him to control and order your life – it also means you will rely on Him to keep you from doing those things you know/have known are wrong. You will place all trust in Him.

If you would like to do that right now you can recite this prayer:
“Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner, and do not deserve eternal life. But, I believe You died and rose from the grave to purchase a place in Heaven for me. Lord Jesus, come into my life; take control of my life; forgive my sins and save me. I repent of my sins now and place all of my trust in you. I accept the free gift of eternal life. Amen.”

If you took a moment to recite this prayer, let me know by leaving a comment. (Simply copy and paste the prayer or leave another message.) Thanks!
If you are already a Christian and would like to share your faith with others, you may pass this post on freely.

May God bless you.

Hi – I don’t comment on many blogs but had to on yours. It’s really nice! I really like how you write – very to the point. Thanks for having this site. I don’t have time to read everything right now, I found this site when looking for something else on beliefnet.com, but I’ve bookmarked your homepage and will check back soon to see the latest news. I always enjoy reading on the web about religion. Do you suggest any particular biblical commentaries? I’m looking for one to start reading, I just finished one and need a new one to read. I have a site with daily Bible readings on it. Please visit it – it as at http://www.GotTB.com. I just redesigned the site with a new look and feel, please let me know what you think of the new layout. Do you have a favorite Bible passage or story? I would not even know where to being the processing of picking just one. God’s Peace!
